kierrasheard: Say what you mean. If you’re going to love, then do it. Don’t play it safe. God is relational and so are we. Stop playing like you don’t need anyone. We all need someone. If you don’t like it then get out of it, or express yourself. Life is too precious, to always be figuring someone out or always explaining. #Life #Growth #wisdom #God
An honest Christian life is messy. There is you in all your sin and problems and not okay-ness, and Jesus is working in you, taking over more and more areas of your life. It is a process and it can be slow, but accepting that works a whole lot better than just trying to hold your breath and act like you’ve got it all together.
Glen Fitzjerrell (via -dejalenae-)
So when the devil throws your sins in your face and declares that you deserve death and hell, tell him this: ‘I admit that I deserve death and hell. What of it? For I know One who suffered and made satisfaction in my behalf. His name is Jesus Christ, Son of God. Where He is, there I shall be also.’
Martin Luther (via all-i-need-is-you)
anchoredinchrist4ever: anchoredinChrist4ever: Amen. How blessed we are to know God’s love even when we are being un-loveable <3
God is telling me not to rush things. They will happen in His timing. Whether it’s in relationships, jobs, school. Even in worship and prayer, it’s time to slow it down and just spend quality time with my Father.
kierrasheard: Your struggle is only what you’ve given yourself. What you’ve exposed yourself to, and what you’ve tasted, only came from one of your decisions. Which could have been one of which you gave in to temptation. It then turned into your fall. Not everything is to blame on the enemy. Yes satan tempted Eve, but greed was already in her; and she made the decision to fall. It’s not always easy because we have are on issues on top of satan wanting us to fall. So, what will you do? Fall for satan or stand with what you already have and get better? Don’t always play the blame game. Play/Live to win!!!
kierrasheard: This checked me HARD! If the bible doesn’t say it’s a sin, but you’re convicted about a certain thing, pay attention to that uncertainty. Don’t ignore it and do what may not be a sin while you’re unsure if it is. Pay attention to your personal convictions. When you act on them, they demonstrate faith and self discipline. You’re also keeping from being turned over to yourself, or having a calloused heart. Personal convictions don’t have to be explained to NO ONE. That’s just between you and GOD!!!! Faith isn’t just about getting ahead, it’s also about taking heed. #PersonalConvictions #GodsWord #relationship #iAMalive HE’ll give you answers if you ask.
kierrasheard: Working towards total salvation is believing when you have never seen it/Him. Faith doesn’t only come in for prosperity or for healing for a loved one (or ourselves); but even with our spiritual fruits. If we struggle with a potty mouth, anger, fornication, homosexuality, lying, jealousy, pride, etc. we have to have in our hearts and minds that God can deliver us and that He is still doing the (new) work in us. We can’t become complacent with the idea of “I’m not perfect” or “God knows my heart” because we don’t always know our hearts and God may know something about us that we have no clue of. So, why not have faith to believe that “I’ll be better in what I know is my issue.” I want to be better. Struggling with the same things over and over again, I often get frustrated. But I’ve released the frustration believing that God will continue to work in me. I can’t overcome my flesh without Christ. So, Lord let your Holy Spirit have its factory in me. Never let it shut down. Make me better God. Take away the judgemental mindset and remind me that I’m no one perfect, but a continuous work in progress.
